The vision of a genius

Farra Design Center has always been at the avant-garde of the World furniture industry. In over six decades, Farra started as a raw material supplier for the furniture industry and is now one of the largest furniture importer and distributer in Lebanon. The company now specializes in the furniture and interior decorating business for residential housing and commercial buildings. The store is located in Mkalles-Beirut, Lebanon.

Ever since its inception, Farra Design Center has received strong positive reviews from past customers and possesses one of the strongest brand recognition in the furniture business market of Lebanon. The company caters to owners of residential houses, furnished apartments in Lebanon and Middle East hotels looking for quality furniture at a reasonable and equitable price.

1910-1960

It all started in 1911 when founder Anwar Farra was born in Aleppo, Syria. At the age of 16, Anwar wanted to start a business. Anwar moved for his business between Aleppo, Beirut and Yaffa and finally settled in Beirut. In 1939, Anwar Farra started his raw material company. Very early, with great creativity and work knowledge, he started importing first quality choice material for the wood furnishing industry while earning profits through money exchange due to the 2nd world war.

1960s-1970s

The business grew with the development of the Hotel industry in the golden years of Lebanon.

1980s

In the 1980s, the company becomes operated by the second generation of the family.

In 1985, Ronald and Fred emigrated to the United States of America where they expanded the family business by opening in the Metropolitan New York. In New York, the company serves as a wholesale supplier to furniture stores in United States and Canada. Five years later, it opened its doors to welcome mainstream consumers searching for warehouse price deals on furniture.

Even though the Farra store was off the Main road in Dekwaneh, it became one of the most recognized furniture store brand in Lebanon. This brand awareness was mostly the result of continuous positive word-of-mouth reviews from customers.

2000s

In the years 2000s, a lot happens in the historical and political arena in Lebanon and so many things change for Farra Design Center. Even though Lebanon situation imposed many obstacles, the company managed to stay well above the troubled water and did well even in the most difficult times.

In 2002, the store decides to open a flagship store in the Metn. It establishes a major move to a greatly larger and technologically advanced store on the Mkalles Main Road. The store doubled its size and went from 3 floors to 7 floors of displayed furniture. Its opening in November 2004 was instantly successful. Many new visitors discovered the store simply by passing by and others were alerted by positive word-of-mouth reviews from customers. The move allowed the store floor to become twice its original size making it one of the largest furniture stores in the country.desi

Farra Design Center has quoted various International projects to furnish hotels and was awarded contracts to furnish many hotels, offices, furnished apartments, villas and royal palaces in the Middle East.

2010s

All these years Farra Design Center became an inspiration to many new-born in the furniture industry and became one of the most active company helping NGOs and non-profit companies bring their earth shattering projects to life. We have extraordinary plans for the future, one thing for sure is that we're aiming to maintain our momentum as one of the most recognized and appreciated brand in Lebanon.
